The Carport Deluxe has one side that attaches directly to the roof rack of your vehicle. There is another side that extends out and acts as a covering, or a 'carport' over the area next to your vehicle. This makes it ideal not only for camping but for tailgating as well. Leave it on your car and it acts as a perfect storage area while you hit the woods. Don't be fooled into thinking that this is simply a makeshift cover that allows you to grill hot dogs while it’s raining and the big game is on. This tent is made from strong, rugged, durable polyester taffeta that will keep you safe from the elements in most any time of year. This is a three season tent that has earned the name.
The medium sized tent weighs about eight and a half pounds, and is made for station wagons and smaller SUVs. The large tent weighs about nine and a half pounds and is more ideal for the larger sport utility vehicles and vans. With either tent, set up is a breeze.
