Eureka Zeus 2 Classic 3 4 Season Tent Review

Eureka Zeus 2 Classic is one of those rare three season tents that can hold its own among the many four season tents that are available on the market today. While a deluxe four season tent might have the overall advantage when it comes to adverse weather conditions, it will certainly be a close fight, and the Zeus 2 definitely runs away with a victory when it comes to ease of setting up and taking down, and overall price.

The Zeus 2 has a domed roof that has been proven to perform above and beyond what the typical A-frame can achieve. Domed is the preferred style for three person tents because they allow water and other weather conditions to repel easier and give more headroom and overall space. In addition, they are easier to set up and dismantle, and the Zeus 2 certainly proves this right away. The 7000 series aluminum frame comes shock corded, which makes it a breeze to set up. Don't think this makes the Zeus 2 any weaker for the wear, though. The Zeus 2 has extremely strong carabineer clips that hold the tent body fast to the frame.

The Zeus 2 makes sure that it is as inviting and comforting as it is rugged and durable. There are two mesh storage pockets that will ensure that your goods and gear will stay safe, dry and handy. There are high and low venting doors that enhance the air circulation around the entire tent and they can be fastened in any number of ways.

One thing that irks any camper who has walked a trail or two is the weight of the tent that they are hauling. This makes the Zeus 2 even more enticing to such a camper. With its lightweight design that belies its extreme durability, the Zeus 2 comes in at under four pounds and even folds down small enough to fit into your backpack. Try that on any four season tent and you'd be better off renting a room at the Four Seasons.

As far as looks are concerned, the Zeus 2 did not leave anything left to interpretation. One look at the tent when it is set up shows that the designers had aesthetic beauty in mind besides making it rugged enough for even the most extreme of campers. The Zeus 2 looks like the kind of tent you should be paying rent to occupy. It looks inviting to everyone except bears.

At this point, the Zeus 3 has come out and it is up to the buyer to decide whether they want the slightly cheaper Zeus 2 right now or to go with the Zeus 3 that, while a bit more expensive, certainly improves on the already wonderful standard of quality that the Zeus 2 has set for itself. Either way, it is not likely that you'll be disappointed with either of these tents, should they come your way.
