Eureka Apex 2XT 3 Season Tent Review

The Eureka Apex 2XT is a 3 season tent that fits two people comfortably while still allowing a bit of breathing room. The Apex 2XT provides a perfect blend of well ventilated space and comfort while still keeping an economical mindset and price tag. There are two drop doors on either side that are more than large enough to accommodate even the burliest of campers with ease, ensuring that nobody crowds anybody else, and that no gear or camping equipment is trampled during the process.

The Apex 2XT clearly was designed with weather in mind, like most 3 season tents tend to be. There are demi-vestibules that are perfect for storing mud-caked hiking boots right near the door, while there are full vestibules that allow you to store larger gear, keeping it safe from the various elements that you may be dealing with. The vestibules, like the rest of the tent itself, are rugged and repel water greatly.

Ease of use was also surely in mind when this tent was designed. Set-up is a breeze thanks to the mesh rod sleeves and the poles are fiberglass, which makes them not only lighter but easier to fix or replace. The entire tent ways a mere six and a half pounds, as well, and can be packed down small enough to stick in most any backpack. This certainly is a benefit to the many campers who would love to have more comfort if it didn't mean sacrificing during the trip to the campsite by lugging heavy tent gear. Also, this tent can easily be taken along on a kayak trip, or any other adventurous activity you're likely to undertake, without it feeling like more of a burden than an eventual source of comfort.

The Eureka Apex 2XT 3 season tent comes at a rather affordable price. Most can be found near the one hundred dollar range, which makes it wonderfully affordable for folks who are not frequent campers. The value of the tent can replace itself on just a handful of trips, with its ease of set up and disabling, but even those people who camp often will find much to love in the Apex 2XT. With a nylon taffeta floor and body and a StormShield polyester fly, this was clearly a three season tent that puts its money where its mouth is. A person can sit inside this tent in nearly any weather condition and feel just as safe and sound as if they were children in their parent’s backyard. Clearly there was a lot of attention paid in order to create a tent as durable and rugged as the Eureka Apex 2XT.
